Diamine is the prince of fountain pen inks, made in the United Kingdom since 1864. Available in 50 vivid colours and MrPen stocks them all. Classic wide base ink bottle containing 80 ml of ink, nearly twice the average. Colour strips across the cap identify the colour.

Ink Colour Interpretation

Colour Interpretation

We at MrPen used to interpret ink colour by scanning the maker's ink smear. We found that the scanner could change an actual view of the colour and with a further interpretation by the viewing PC could cause an outright distortion. In our computer generated colour representations we try to show the shade as if it were translucent rather than flat. A pen on paper will not always deposit the ink evenly and the ink density can change in a single stroke, it is not emulsion paint after all. This delicate change in shade has been reflected in the examples below.
